Through the years, I have helped countless entrepreneurs, nonprofits, Fortune 500 corporations, small businesses, and various other entities achieve their communications and marketing goals with messages that connect with their target audiences in a personal and relatable way.
Whether you seek to persuade, to inform or to entertain, what you say and how you say it are paramount. I have excelled in both areas, with years of experience as a voice actor and even more as a writer.
As a professor at leading universities, a marketing consultant, a corporate trainer, a voice actor, and a writer I always work to capture and hold people's attention with both my voice and my words.
With a doctorate in Marketing & Corporate Communications from the University of Southern California, I breathe life into voiceover and writing projects. Whether I'm writing a script, a commercial, an article, or editing, recording, or narrating on-camera, every audience of one — or thousands — will walk away absolutely satisfied!”
Kerri Acheson, Ph.D.

Writing

Writing

Intro
The ability to articulate a vision for the reader that connects with them has proven to be a successful approach in much of my work as a writer. I bring experience with a wide range of genres … from marketing collateral to academic papers … to books about voice acting and speaking … to headlines that grab attention. Using humor or clever turns-of-phrase often brings the message home in a fun and meaningful way. My range can move from very casual and colloquial to academic, corporate and formal with ease.
My favorite word is immix— to blend disparate elements into a rich narrative — and it is at the heart of everything I write. I start by understanding the needs of the reader or viewer. Then I dig deep into the objectives of the particular project, exploring how the narrative can enhance the experience for the consumer of the message. All of the elements of the communication are developed from storytelling, to characters, to CTAs and hooks. To make magic happen through writing is my end goal!
The following examples are offered here to show you what I have done, but it doesn’t include everything. Some company projects are included repeatedly to show the continuity. A few of the items can be
found on the Writing Samples page so that you can read the copy.
My writing resume includes:
